I'm the editor of the online football Fanzine A Touch Far Vetched which is devoted to Swansea City FC. We've always been a non profit publication which raises money for good causes.
After a significant change (the print mag closed down last September) I'm back organising charity events but on a more ambitious scale.
I signed up to Eventbrite so I'd have a secure platform from which to sell tickets but despite my best efforts it's just not working - and I'm getting VERY stressed!
The event I'm working on currently is called Funnies & Floyd and it's part comedy night, part Pink Floyd tribute. I have two talented comedians and I've hired The Welsh Floyd, a U.K. renowned tribute band.
Tickets are priced at just a tenner but I'm struggling to sell them despite extensive marketing. The event takes place on May 5th so maybe I shouldn't expect ticket sales this early?
I've got 350 to get rid off but would settle for 100 sold which would cover my costs, make money for the charity and ensure a good atmosphere in the room.
Any suggestions to help me get there would be greatly received!
